Hmm. tough dilema.
Waiting for my american vintage series reissue 70's strat. Thinking about a nice fender amp.
Thinkign about a tweed deville or a super sonic 1x12. ahhh my mind is going to fast lol.

Choices lol

I love the sound of both, prolly going to go check them out when i get my guitar in.

Any input from you guys? (i know its all personal preferance, but still, you guys are all great with input, so shoot away!)

Ian

My vote goes to the tweed DeVille if you play alot of clean Blues music. The tweed covering is vintage cool, but if you play alot of distortion based rock the Super Sonic is a good choice.

And definitely play the Blues Deluxe Reissue, too! And try the Deluxe Reverb Reissue as well, though it's a bit pricier.

I vote Super-Sonic. Between the Bassman, Vibrolux and distortion channels you have all the bases covered.

I got a Blues Deville 212 (1995, when they still made them in the USA) yesterday, and I'm psyched! It's my first Fender amp, and my first "good" tube amp. Paired with my EJ strat, it rocks! The feel, the dynamic control is more than I thought possible! I'm using the clean channel almost exclusively- my pedals add the flavor of distortion that I'm looking for, from hard edged metal-type (DS1) to creamy blues (808 clone). I guess what I'm saying is that the tone is so smooth, so expressive, that I can use it to play any type of music imaginable. This is coming from a guy who has been relying on a Line 6 Flextone modeling amp for the past few years. I thought that the flexability of the Line 6 made it versatile, now I really feel that the tone of the Deville makes it more versatile (more expressive, more an extension of my playing).
So, one vote for the Deville!
