I'm trying to diagnose the problem I'm having with my blues junior. The volume just won't go any louder than very low even if I crank it up to 12 it still stays very low. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to the Forum.

Try adjusting the "Master" and "Volume" controls.

No I've tried that, with master and volume at 12 it still is barely audible. Could it be the tubes?

Check to see if the speaker is completely plugged in.

If the amp is new to you:

Check to see that all tubes are plugged in all the way
Try with different guitar
Try with different cable
Take it back where you bought it and have it checked out.

Chet is correct as usual. To me this sounds like a power tube issue. I have had this happen to one of my Blues Juniors in the past. Make sure all tubes are cooled down and then make sure they are seated correctly.
