Makes no difference. The Deville is basically the same amp with 20 more watts.

I've been doing quite a bit of research on the Deville lately, and while most reviews seem to be positive, I couldn't help but notice the fairly large amount of people that had problems with them. Have you guys experienced any issues? Is there a certain internal component of the amp that's causing these failures?

Also, how does the 4x10 comepare to the 2x12 tonally?

I've never had problems with any of my Fender hot rod series amps and I've gone on the road with several and beat the tar out of them. As far as tone between the 212 and 410 I guess that would be preference. I've owned them both and put a few hundred hours into playing both. Personally I prefer the 410. It's a bigger wall of sound than the 212 IMO.

I've put it side by side with a Fender Twin Reverb, Supersonic, Marshall bluesbreaker, and a Mesa Boogie Lonestar. My 410 Deville always sounds better. Even the owners of the other amps would say this and I notice more than a few of them ended up buying a Deville.

Bull.

I'm with 63Supro.... your hearing must be shot, as would be the hearing of any Boogie Lonestar owner hallucinating that a DeVille sounded better.
I am with you guys,I have a Blues Deluxe and my 59 Bassman ri and my Super Reverb smokes the deluxe. Not even in the same league really.

I never made claims about the blues deluxe. Comparing it to a 59 Bassman is apples and oranges. Now, my HRD 410 will bury your Bassman. I know, I've owned a Bassman.

This statement tells me you have no experience with these amps.

I have had a HRDX and now own a Blues Deluxe and my best friend had a deville.Between the Deluxe and deville , the the main difference is cabinet size , speaker configuration and wattage. The circuitry is exactly the same .Check it out for yourself .There are minor differences between the hr and the blues deluxe.

I own a Hot Rod Deluxe. It's a dog. Budglo is correct, just look at the schematic the DeVille is exactly the same as the HRDlx with 20 more watts and different speaker configurations.
I also own a 76 Twin, 74 Champ, and a 75 Deluxe Reverb as well as a couple of non Fender amps.

Your statements tell me you never owned anything but a DeVille. I also have a feeling that most of my equipment is older than you.

I'm curious, what $8,000 boutique amp wasn't as good as your DeVille?

The difference is in the sound. You get a fat wall of sound out of the 410 that you don't even get from the 212 much less the deluxe. I've played 5000 seat halls with two daisy-chained 410s and didn't even have to mic them. The deluxe couldn't handle that load. It's better with the additional cab but still not good enough for real shows.

You don't own any gear older than me. I guarantee you that. The $8000 amp was one that Bogner made specifically for me. I've owned amps you wouldn't even be authorized to buy. All in all, the HRD 410 holds up against all of them. Bar none.

You've got to be kidding me. Not authorized to buy? Since when do you need to be authorized to buy a custom shop amp? If you sold it, did YOU need to be authorized to sell it? Now I know I'm just wasting my time even replying to you. Enjoy your Deville.
