I'm thinking of gettin one of these because i can never plug-in at home because my hot-rod deluxe is so damn loud (and i only have it on 2!).
I had a go on one today and I loved the sound of it, because I could get a really good SRV sound, and at a lowish volumn too. (I was also suprised at how loud it could go at just 15 bloody watts).
I know your probably thinking I'v made my mind up already if I want it, but can you get these in a tweed-covering? Because the one I had a go on was in tweed and I fought you could only get it in that black-type coulour.

And also, It'd be good to have some in-sight from people who own these.

You've probably seen lose of posts like this (I saw another one similar on same page), but you know, I don't wanna waste my moeny without knowin the things i wanna know

Hello JimmyGuitarist,

I own the Blues Jr. NOS{tweed}
And think its a great amp, but,
there are some bones to pick.

1) No standby switch
2) Fat button switch---no interest for me
3) Pedal controls fat switch --- better if it controlled reverb
4) Reverb somewhat lacklustre
5) Clean doesn't even compare to a Twin.
6) Power light junky --- implys cheapness.
7) Not available as a head --- I cured that problem

Any how I have never had a problem with it,
Here it is converted to a head.

Cheers.

Hello Cvilleira,

Thanks Cv, I made it summer last.
I was going to bulid a speaker cab,
but haven't scrounged enough oak,
I'm to thrifty{cheap} to buy wood when
it's lying around the railyard, mostly
unacceptable in one way or another.

One of these days, I'll get 'er done.

Cheers.

Have you thought about putting an attenuator on your amp??

Certainly makes my setup manageable even in my bedroom.

Alright. Because its alot more affordable than any other of its type, I'd deffinetly want one for rehearsals, playin at home (and maybe even the odd gig.).
One thing though, is there any difference at all in the tweed covering of the black-type colour covering? I keep on askin that because the one I had a go on was in tweed)

P.S - nice head

Hello JimmyGuitarist,

I bought the tweed NOS because I felt
that it had a better sound. The tweed
covering is ok, but I like the black best.
Durabilitywise, I guess they're about the same.

Cheers.

Is the NOS lacqered? Or is the lacquered tweed edition something entirely different?

Hello Fhopkins, Giljanus, & Toranado,

Thanks for the kind words,
Hopkins and Gil.

Toranado, all the ones I have seen
have been the laquered tweed.

Cheers.
