I bought a new Blues Jr. about a yeqar ago, and its been great up to now. The other day I turned it on and there was a lot of "sanp, crackle and pop". Then it started to hum. Not real loud, but it wasn't there before. Now, the snap crackle pop seems to have calmed down, but the hum remains.

Could some or all of the tubes need replacing already? Seems awfullly soon - I don't play a ton. Could it be the iinput jack? I've heard modern Fenders use pretty cheap jacks. Any other ideas?

By the way, I recall similar discussions in the past, but can't seem to find them, so forgive me for asking again.

Thanks.

I am wondering if you ever resolved this issue. I am experiencing the same issue and cannot seem to isolate the issue.

You likely have a tube problem. With the amp on, tap the preamp tubes one at a time. The culprit will reveal itself. Try reseating the tube first. It may not be fully in its socket. If this doesn't work, replace one tube at a time starting with V1, and you'll find the problem. Also, get some spares. Good luck....barryg
