I've just taken delivery of a brand new Blues Deluxe Reissue and very pleased I am with it - apart from one thing...........

There is a noticeable buzzing coming from the body of the amp if it's turned up to anything over 2.5.

I'm sure it has something to do with the construction of the amp (something not screwed down properly or something similar

I was wondering if anyone has had similar issues and if so how they cured the problem.

I'll use the amp for home recording more than gigging so a quiet (ie no buzzes) amp is what I'm after. The tone of this thing is superb - I just wish I could get rid of the buzz

Make sure all screws are tight.

Are you absolutely it's a mechanical problem?

I've sen a lot of people complain about the same thing with the Deluxe and DeVille RI amps, and experienced it myself with a new DeVille. Much of the time that metallic sort of "ringing" when certain notes are struck or certain volumes are reached turns out to be a microphonic tube. Before you pull all your hair out looking for a loose screw get your hands on a spare 12AX7 and see if the problem changes or goes away when you swap yours out.

It costs nothing to check it. I have had noise from vibration that either lessened or went away by doing this. Granted it can be a tube. These Fender amps seem to be having this as a common complaint and tubes aren't always a cure all. I really think it is the cabinet construction they are using in these MIM amps.
