Peace Out.

I'm not sure it's worth the current new prices but definitely worth the $250 to $350 used prices. Loudness should be determined by where you're going to use it. Many use it for bedroom and small gigs.

Only you can determine if it is worth the money. If you have played one and like it then the answer is probably yes.

Don't forget if you play gigs you can always mic it.

I have a tweed BJ with a Jensen speaker and a Ruby Reverb. It's an excellent amp, and I find myself taking it to gigs all the time because it's small and lightweight, and sounds great with my 335. I got mine before the price increase, and I don't know if I'd take a chance on one without the positive experience I've had with mine.

Plenty seem to be around, for good prices -- a friend in St Louis was given a used one by the owner of a store there (the guy had a floor full of classic amps from the '50s and '60s, and probably thought the Junior detracted from the ambience). In any case, we went home with it, and my friend plugged his Samick L5CES copy into it, and it sounded really good (then he gave me the Samick, but that's another story, but I will tell you that he bought a Gibson ES-137 to go with the BJ).

Hello GuitarBassist11,

Blues Jr for me a super little amp,
It took me years to finally fork over
the cash for one, I never regretted it.

There's room for improvement, but at what cost.

Funny though, mine's better than all the other ones.

Cheers.

Awesome little amp, beauty is you can get the nice over driven sound without pissing off your neighbours, and its lightweight, try lifting a fender twin out of the boot of your car, you get over it prety damn quick. There are mods the help with the sometimes boxy tone as they call it, checkout billm's bj mods, pretty inexpensive

Great amp!! Get the BillM mods done - they're well worth it.
