Hi Guys,

I considering the Fender Deluxe VM amplifier, it will be my first step into Fender amps....ive checked out lots of other amps but the fender seems to have the warmth and the headroom i need. What i want to know is does it take pedals well...and would something like the Satchurator/Jemini be a good investment for it. I play all styles from Delta Blues to Vai....is this amp up for it?

Your thoughts would be most welcome!

Thanks

With all the modeling capabilities the amp has, pedals may not be needed. Go play the hell out of one though. You'll then know if it's the amp for you. 8) Mike

It takes pedals very well. However, you can play it and make it sound perfectly good without any pedals.

No modeling just a decent tone and good od. I use time based effects thru the loop and a Maxon od808 up front. I use the chorus, verb, and delay in the amp also and am very satisfied with the sound that I get and have received alot of complements by good players so I know it's not just me.

I have the head version (Band-Master VM) and I love it. I can get a wide range of sounds out of it without pedals, but I also have a Floor Pod Plus that I use on a few songs that require specific effects, and it works fine.

I don't use the amp modeling on the Floor Pod: the BM sounds better than any of the presets, for what I play.
