Wow, I'm amazed with the amp, but amp doesn't play itself, Shane is a great guitarist. He's one the reasons that modern RI Fender amps are so good.

You can build one yourself for a ton less money. It's a really simple circuit. The 5e3 Tweed Deluxe is also an easy build with a bit more power and the same type of tone. Kits are available.

I agree. It's a shame that they chose to overcharge by such a huge margin. It's NOT a vintage amp, guys. It's a reissue. They would likely have sold a ton of these at a more reasonable price point. At that price, I'd buy a DR reissue over this -- it's way more amp, and less money! I think I'll stick with my NOS blues jr... I've modded it and it's sounding very sweet now.

The kits sound interesting, though, I might check into that.

5e3 kits should run around 400-500 and will most likely sound the same. Although wont have the little Fender logo :)

Working hard to resist urge to dash off to the guitar shop to test one out.

But agree the tag seem a bit steep for a 5 watt bedroom practice amp.
