I have tons and tons of gear....but my greatest piece is my Fender Princeton Chorus amplifier that I bought about twenty years ago.

Oh, how I love her:

1. She can do everything. I can go from jazzy cleans to Metallica speed-metal distortion. (Yes, my Princeton can sound like speed metal. Don't ask me how, all I can think of is that I got my hands on some weird, super-secret prototype amp that escaped the Reasearch and Development room at Fender.)

2. I have had this amp near twenty years...and never moved a knob! The day I got her the knobs were set and 20 years later she still sounds perfect! Amazing.

3. When I got myself a mighty VOX AC30...I was unimpressed. Why? Is the VOX that bad? No. My Fender Princeton is that good.

Here is a photo of the gear I love most. Thanks Fender...I was lucky enough to buy the greatest thing you make.

I also used to have one of these amps, only mine was from about 1998. I used to play an older Gibson Les Paul Studio on it, and i remember when i'd use the distortion channel, i could kneel down in front of the amp and get some of those sweet feedback screams that you sometimes hear in songs. I remember doing that when i'd play something like "Born On The Bayou" by CCR. Sounded great. :D

That thing did have a sweet sounding clean channel and a nice drive channel too. I guess the only thing that i can remember about wanting to let go of it is that i traded it in for a Hot Rod Deluxe which i did think sounded better, but i later got rid of it too which led me to the Laquered Tweed Blues Jr. that i still have :)

Love mine also, just wish I could get the reverb working. I bought mine in 1998 and still love it. I have two other amps but they are going to be sold (an AD50VT and a Crate V18).
Not getting rid of the Princeton Chorus. It's been a keeper for 11 years. Still looks and sounds great - less reverb.
I play my '77 Fender Stratocaster, Takamine 12-string, and my Guild Bluesbird thru it and love the sounds.
Any help on repairing the reverb would be greatly appreciated.

Got bored, took out the old soldering iron and some wire and fixed the original reverb tank in my Princeton Chorus. Working and sounding great! Will fix the newer Accutronics reverb tank, that must have arrived damaged, another day. Not a pretty soldering job, but it's working. Still love the Princeton Chorus.
