Tried out the Jr and the NOS, saw the YouTube vid as well. Bought the NOS based on sound, look and features and am very happy. Does exactly what an amp should do, voice the guitar.
If you want good clean Fender tone, this is for you. It does not have any digital bell/whistles but takes a pedal very well.
Give it a try, I read a lot of mixed reviews, but I think you need to be clear what you are buying.

Hello Jwvert,

Congrats on you new amp.
I'm a Blues Jr.owner and I feel
it's a great little amplifier, there's
room for improvement but that'll
just spike the cost so as is, is fine for me.

Best of luck with yours.

Cheers.

I wanted the Tweed NOS model, but my local Fender dealer couldn't get one. (I think that they're just at Guitar Center and Musician's Friend.) So, I had to "settle" for the black tolex model, but that Tweed looks so beautiful!

I agree that the Blues Jr. amps are awesome. I've had mine for about a month, and couldn't be happier. 8)

I have one of the "early" Tweed Blues Jrs. Mine is from around 2003 and its basically the same except mine does have a coat of laquer over the tweed. I've noticed that the current tweeds don't have this. Mine does have the Jensen speaker, but i'm considering changing that out for either a vintage Weber or a Jensen P12R. I'm not real sure though, it sounds good but i guess i'm just ready for something a little different in the tone department.

I've got a lacquered tweed one aswell. Don't think I'll ever change it.

Eh...I really don't think i can bring myself to tamper with mine either lol I just think I'll get something like a Frontman 65R or something as a second amp to play around with....maybe mod that thing some with a new Jensen speaker or somethin 8)

Thrilled with my NOS and the ceramic Jensen in it (C12N). It's an '07 and laquered. In fact, I'd thought all the NOS's were laquered. Looks great, and now makes me want to laquer the tweed case I got for my Strat.

And I believe 'Mf/GC only' is correct for 'em.

Interesting as I was just in Canada and saw a Blues Jr NOS but it was called Special Edition, available only through Long & McQuade. Same amp, I guess Fender is marketing them only through their large box stores.
I can tell you, I am still surprised how loud that little thing is, You always read tube vs solid watts, it's true. Great control though as I can dial it down and still get great sound.

if you really want to go for broke, or if you just can't leave well enough alone, ( like me ), mojotone, www.mojotone.com , makes a Blues Junior pine cablinet that you can transfer you existing BJ guts into.......has anyone tried this....?

The Tweed NOS is nice looking amp, I could not find one anywhere so I had to settle for a "Texas Red" Ltd edtion. It a nice amp too but I would rather have a Tweed NOS.
