Post subject: problem with hot rod deluxe

:( playing amp on gain channel and all of the sudden amp became real bassy. replaced all tubes but still has problem? anybody had this problem?

Check your speaker cone. You could have blown it or torn the cone. It's a hard sound to describe, but a wrecked speaker cone sounds pretty "farty." Just carefully (after unplugging the amp!) run your hands over the speaker cone to see if it has any rips. Also, double check your new tubes; sometimes brand-new tubes are "bad."

Check all of your amp controls to see if they function properly. If they don't, it might be a relay, if they do, you might have a bad cap in the drive signal path.
