I recently found and grabbed a Blues Deville 2x12 on Craigslist. What a great amp. I have been trying to date it. It is made in the U.S. but the serial number doesn't match anything I've found "LO T-xxxxxx". There is no stamp on the tube chart but there is a "50 Years of Excellence" gold stamp placed on the tube chart.
This is my first tube amp so what is the best way to get the most out of it? Channel volume up or master volume up. Any other hints are welcome.

I have a Deville 4x10 from that same time period and haven't figured out how to date it yet myself, so I'd be interested if anyone has an answer. And BTW, it's a great amp! I've never been happier with my sound.

I just received a volume control I purchased off ebay. It plugs in to the pre out/power in jacks and takes over the master volume function. It allows me to run the amps master volume high and the drive high to heat the tubes then bring the actual volume down to living room level. Man it puts grit into the sound.

Would that I knew how to make these. No, I don't sell on eBay, although since buying the volume control I have bought a Korg AX1500 effect pedal off ebay. Just passing along something I found.
P.S. Pretty cool pedal also but you can't buy one from me on eBay.
