So I just bought a super champ XD and I have noticed that when I play it at reasonable volume levels ( say between 4 or 6) with the gain turned up I get a lot o crackling and stereo noise. I've switched guitar cables and tried plugging straight into the amp and I still hear it. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

try changing the 12ax7 in the preamp,it might be going bad,are the two power tubes glowing, check them as well, you could take them out then put them back in same socket to reseat them!they may not be making good contact!

aussie2009 is right on track. Absolutely everybody in here has had to replace the 12AX7 pre-amp tube within the first 3-6 months (the ones Fender is putting in at the factory are snake bit, or just maybe cheap). In my case, it went bad/completely burned out at a sound check, one hour before a backyard party I was playing at. I like my new JJ (I have a spare), very toneful. And be sure all of the tubes are seated flush (they come loose in shipping).
