Hey, I am having a little trouble deciding what amp I should get next. I currently own a Fender Deluxe Player Strat(Rosewood, 3 Tone Sunburst) Here are my options
Fender Hot Rod Deluxe
Fender Blues Junior
Peavey Valveking 112
Fender Blues Junior(NOS)
I mostly play blues/jazz, and I occasionally play rock. Right now I am just playing in a room, however within a year, I will be joining a band. I understand that if I get a lower wattage amp, I can mike it, but what about rehearsals? I do not want a restricted drummer. Which would be better for my situation. Thanks!

This might help you narrow it down between the two Blues Juniors you're looking at. :)

There's nothing wrong with a solid state amp. I just purchased a 65R for my new york pro les paul copy and it sounds great! It also REALLY thickens my squier strat. If you want louder or more bass, you should try the 212R. I also like the Super Sonic. It looks really good and sounded good when I tried it with a telecaster. It just has a LOT of tubes and it would cost over $200 to replace all the tubes. Of yours choices, I have only tried the blues junior NOS and it sounds amazing!

The hot rod amps will be loud enough to play leads over a typical rock drummer. I mic my amps but not at rehearsals, usually 18 watts is enough for a rehearsal, but not always.

Hello Asyal14,

Blues Jr. is one great amp{for me},
Great tone but lean on effects you may enjoy,
so keep this in mind.

Play em both with your back to them
and see if you can notice tonal differances,
then make your call.

Best of luck with your choice.

Cheers.
