Hi.

I read in the manual that input 2 is meant for boosted signal. But could I damage the amp if I plug my set in Input 1?

Is there any change in sound between channels or is there only difference in volume?

I wire my signal from guitar to Crybaby,Boss compressor CS3, Ibanez Tubescreamer and finally sometimes Marshall Blues Breaker for boost.

I generally dont have tha amp cranked up - maybe up to 5 on normal or drive channel.

Best regards,

Andrej

Input 2 is more for Humbucker pups. It's knocked down something like 6db's. You won't hurt the amp using input #1. I use input #1 with my Bucker guitars with no problems. It's just a matter of taste. You'll just break up earlier with a Humbucker equipped guitar.

That's right, you'll do no damage, you'll just get less response and a cleaner sound. Nice if you don't want too much overdrive from your Gibson!
