Does anyone have any suggestions on how to set my amp for heavy metal. I mostly play Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Iron Madien. I have it set now as Treble 6, mid 2, bass 5, reverb 0. Any suggestions from you metal heads out there would be awesome. Thanks

If you want to get a heavy metal-sounding tone, your first step is to "scoop" the EQ. This means cranking the bass and treble while taking the middle way, way down -- the end result is a "V" shape, or scoop, in a graphic representation of the EQ.

Then turn on fourteen distortion pedals and play really, really fast.

Yeah, you could "V" it, or get a Metal pedal. Also, I actually used that amp once, and Metal sounded great with some reverb (+ my pedal).
