Hi All,

I have been playing my Tweed Blues deluxe reissue for about 9 months now.

I play in my parents house and the volume control never gets past 1.

Yesterday my dad brought me a THD hotplate to try - (it goes between the amp and the speakers).

WOW! ! ! now I can crank up trhe volume control to 6 or 7 and not shake the walls down, but what a difference to the sound.

Fuller and meatier bass and just a totally different sound.

Now I realise what you guys have been talknig about when you rave about thiws amp.

9 months of not hearing the truth. :x

That's awesome! I've always wanted to try a THD Hotplate, but I've never seen one in a store. I'm not even sure what they're worth, but I must look into it. I'm glad to hear you're able to get more out of your BJ -- tube amps can be frustrating if you can't crank them.

They better work at like $300. I only have 5W of tube at home but never crank it pass 6. Wonder if I could benefit from one of those.

I just purchased one for my 57 twin reissue as I only play in my house of small rooms - I was considering downsizing to a Delux, but I couldnt bear to part with the awsomeness of this amp - so the THD hotplate was the answer - I can now crank it to 6(just where I like it) without shaking the glasses of the shelves or hear grief anymore from the neighbours.
