Hi, just bought this new 65 deluxe reverb. There's some noise coming from the back tubes where its hissing and crackling/popping. This is when I turn the volume all the way down. I've never had an amp that did this before. Is this supposed to happen? Everything on here is new. Thanks!

I don't think so. The first thing that comes to mind is a tube going bye bye.

Keep in mind that even new tubes can be defective.

That's just what it sounds like to me.

I've had my DRRI for over 7 months and I remember I had some hissing and crackling when I first got it. I'm not sure when it stopped doing this, maybe after I biased it, or maybe just breaking it in. Whatever happened, it's extremely quiet now, except the pop I get when I switch to/from standby, which is normal. I dunno if your issue is the same, but if you bought it new, it should have a 5 year warranty. Good luck.

It sounds like a " wavy windy air" going through the speaker along with the hissing and popping. Anyways, there was a few other "small" things wrong with it like footswitch not working properly and the on light not working so I ended up returning it. I mean, c'mon this is a new amp. There shouldn't be problems, right?
