Would the 40 watt Fender Band Master VM Head be loud enough to play with a full band? I play a Marshall MG100FX right now. But I never have to turn it past half the volume. So i figure thats about 50 watts?

Thanks for any help.

100 watts in a solid state amp is roughly about 40-50 watts in a tube amp. You should be fine. Also the Bandmaster has a 2x12 speaker cabinet. Two 12's will push a lot more air and make it sound louder than your Marshall.

Of course it will be loud enough! The other guitarist in my band has a Line 6 100 watt solid state amp which he turns up all the way and I can turn my Deluxe VM up to 7 and blow him, the drums and the bass away. :) Usually I don't even have to turn up to 5 and I can still hear myself in a full band setting with my amp sitting about ten to fifteen feet behind me. The Bandmaster should be even louder than that.

40 tube watts is a ton of power. I use a 15-watt Pro Junior and I can keep up with a band so long as the drummer isn't trying to break his sticks on the drums. You'll have no problems whatsoever.
