I recently bought a second hand Fender Twin,Serial number CR 252020,can anyone help me date this so I might be able to get a manual for it,it would be handy to have

There is an electricians test plate,but nothing on it,that was the first place I looked,and got no info from it what so ever

The only real way to date the amp is to get the codes off the transformers, speakers and pots. But only if they are original. Even then, that won't give you the exact date of the manufacture, just when the parts were manufactured. It should be a good ballpark though. The guitars were a bit easier than the amps.

It seems so Supro I got a '79 Strat from the serial number from a Fender forum several years ago.
I checked the site and looked at the transformer number,it's a 606-047,I understand the first 3 digits are the make and the second 3 designate the year but as you can see 047 does not help me much.
I'm going over to Canada and the States soon so if I find a dealer there I'll check it out,I dont really want to go messing around with the pots etc.I thought the serial number would be enough,it's probably a 90's reissue as the serial number is CR252020 I'll figure it out somehow,all I want is the manual.Thanks again for your help,you have been most kind
