I was wondering if anyone owns or has used the Texas Red edition of this amp. If so, please comment on the differences it has than the standard BJ. Any general knowledge on this amp would help. Thanks :D

Other than being red in color and having a Celestion V30 it is the same as the standard Blues Junior. I believe they are a limitted edition though.

I have a texas red, blues junior and it is by far the sweetest sounding amp I have ever owned. It is 15 watt and has a Celestion Vintage 30 in it which is a little different than the stock speaker in the blues junior standard.

I play it with an american tele with noiseless pickups, and a les paul standard. They both have different tonal aspects but sound awsome. It has very crisp and bright cleans and dirty's up pretty nice when you crank up the gain. When I gig I mic it up, but to practice with the band I put it on a stand and it cuts through no problem. If someone would steal it from me or it broke, I would have to buy another one for sure. The only downside I find is that it is a single channel amp, so if you add a good stomp box for gain or distortion, you are good to go. "oh and you dont hurt your back when carrying it and you can bring it anywhere with you.

Hi

I have one and I love it, It is a limited edition of 800 and the only difference is the color & speaker.

When I compared it with the standard Tolex amp the Texas Red sounded much better. I have not heard what the NOS amp sounds like with the Jensen speaker.

Regards.

Hoe do you guys consider the Celestion Vintage 30 speaker tone wise?

I actually got one and yes it's very mid-rangey. The sound is to die for though.

I wonder what the NOS sounds like compared to this one.
