Just got a custom built 1x15" cabinet built for my Tolex Blues Jr. Loaded it up with a Jensen C15N, the older brother to the C12N that's in the Tweed BJ. It's nice. Big ups to my cousin Joe at StaufferGuitars.com for putting his cabinet building experience to use making this for me.

Nice looking mod. Did the larger speaker make a lot of difference in tone/volume? Any other mods done to it ? Congrats!
Have you seen forum member CaFeathers ie. Chet's mod on his Blues Jr. ? 8)

It made a big difference between the original Fender 12" in the Tolex model. Comparing it to the Tweed NOS is a little harder. The bass is tighter but maybe not quite as boomy. For some reason I can tolerate much higher volume settings with this speaker than on the 12" version. Not sure why yet.

The cabinet is Walnut and the baffle is a full 3/4" thick as opposed to the 1/2" baffle on the Blues Jr. Cab, so overall it sounds more 'sturdy' if that makes any sense.

There are no other mods to this amp....yet :)

Are you the gentleman who does Stevie Snacks? If so I really got a lot out of your last series. Thanks!

Wow....Both those amps are very nice. If I had something like that it would be Spinal Tap all over again....(you've looked at it long enough)

Yes sir, and thank you very much.

And yes, CAFeather's amp is beautiful. Anyone know what kind of wood that is?

Hello Anthony Stauffer,

Cousin Joe did a bang up job
on the Blues sr.

I'll bet it's a lot of fun to use.

Cheers.
