Hi all, I recently acquired a Blues DeVille from a Craigslist trade. I was pleasantly surprised to find out when I arrived to meet the guy that it was an original USA-made model. He didn't have much information about it as he had just gotten it from another trade and just wanted something else because it was too much amp for his purposes. Anyway, I'm trying to figure out when it was built. I don't have it with me, but I believe the SN starts with T-1xxxx. Would that indicate 2001? I don't know when these were discontinued.

The amp sounds amazing...I got to crank it up at the gig the night I got it. I only put it at about 4 on the clean channel but it was already starting to break up and had a nice warm crunch to it.

BTW, I traded him a '72 Tele Deluxe RI for it. Do you think I made out a little better?

Hard to tell from the serial, they are not tracked like the guitars are.

Sometimes there may be a date stamped on the tube chart inside the case, or on the chassey or PCB if you take the back off.
US made hot-rods are probably form the late 1990's, they have all been made in Mexico for quite a few years now.

Thanks for the welcome! I looked at the inside stickers and the tubes and couldn't find a date. Oh well, I will assume it was made in the 90's. Not really a big deal, I just like to know as much I can about my rig 8)

I also have a Blues DeVille 410 and it's amrican made. I got it on Ebay and it is my favorite amp, though I don't get to crank it up to it's fullest. It's a great amp. Good Luck with yours!

original Blues Devilles were made from 1993 to 96 in the USA then they moved to Mexico.

your somewhere in that range.

I still have my USA B/D and still love it, Ive bought, sold and traded a lot of amps and keep coming back to my B/D as my #1

Tube exchanges will go a very long way in tweeking your tone.

Have fun !!!!
