Hello everybody! I live in an european country. I am going to visit USA and I am interested to buy a Fender Roc PRo 1000 head, or a fender FM 100H head. In my country is used 220V voltage, so I need to plug one of this amps in an european type socket. Please help me to find a dealer or a shop where I can buy such amp somewhere in New York. Thanks a lot!

I am going to give you a phone number of a woman that sells Fender amps. Most of them have some degree of shipping damage. I know that she has some 240 volt units that are generally new amps with small amounts of damage. Many Fender amps meant for export have a transformer that can be converted to USA 120 volt use. I have 2 in my collection and might be adding a few more from her. Her prices are very reasonable and the shipping is also reasonable. I just purchased a Stage 160 DSP 240 volt unit for around $100. Give her a call, tell her Bob recommended you, and see what she has to offer. (By telling her I sent you she will know that I will be putting her on the spot if you are not treated fairly. But she never treats anyone unfairly. I get nothing from her for the referal except knowing that her business is still around so that I can make another purchase when I need to. ) I know she has 2 Ultimate Chorus DSPs in stock because I gave her the directions to convert to USA service. She tells me that she will have more 240 volt units avail. soon. Ask for Karen, 949-500-2569. She's a real sweet lady to deal with and totally honest.

My pleasure helping out. No, Karen is not from New York. She's in Huntington Beach, California. She ships all over the place and the shipping price are very reasonable. She does have a shop, so to speak, that she has the amps worked on and stored but nothing like a store front where you walk in a feel like a customer. She's a mail order type of business. She does, however, love having customers drop in and look around. There's lots of stuff there. Give her a call, ask any questions you want and be sure to tell her your ability as far as doing any repairs are conserned so that she can tell you if she has what you need. She is very, very honest about what she has to offer. Some times there is great stuff and some time not so great. It all depends on what she bought from Fender on her last visit. If she does have what you want then great!! If not it was only a phone call. And remember to tell her I told you to call. Good luck!! Bob

If you are able to do a little work on an amp you can get some real, and I do mean real, deals. But if you can't do a thing in that area she still has ready to go units. She deals in damaged goods but some are not damaged in any way. My Stage 160 needed a small speaker repair and small grill repair plus an on/off swith and plug receptical. Total repair cost? About $12. I have a photo of the amp on myguitarspace.com under the same bob_amos name. As a matter of fact, I have 7 amps of which 6 were damaged goods. Only the Stage 160 was purchased from her. I purchased the rest direct but now buy from Karen as direct buying requires buying 20 or 30 at a time. It took too long to dispose of most of the rest. Just remember to tell her that I sent you. In the past this has helped some people get a better price since I do send her a lot of people as well as helping her out with conversions from time to time. She also has other stuff. Pedals, tilt legs, misc parts and the like.
