Hey everyone, so here's the deal:

I currently own an '04 Am Deluxe Tele which I love to death. I'm running it through a Marshall mg30dfx which I bought years and years ago, however somehow I feel the sound is a bit lacking. I know what a Tele is capable of producing, and although the sound is nice.. I know it can be improved.

Now, I've read numerous times that Fender on Fender tone is absolutely gorgeous. What kind of amp should I be looking for to give my Tele it's soulmate? I play a lot of classic rock and every once in a while blues.

I'm on somewhat of a budget, but I also now understand that really when it comes to an amp, you get what you pay for. I'm probably looking to spend at a maximum $1000.

Lately I've been pondering on a NOS Blues Jr. How will this do me? Also, is it really that much better than a standard Blues Jr? Any amp suggestions along with their Pros/Cons would be GREATLY appreciated. This is an important investment, after all :o

Thanks for looking!

If you plan to gig, either a Deluxe Reverb, Super Sonic, 59 Bassman Reissue or a Twin. I used to use a Tele with a 64 Blackface Vibrolux Reverb. The tone was to die for till the Vibrolux was stolen. Never liked a Tele with my HRDlx. It's heaven with my Twin but seriously loud.

All awesome amps, but I think they're somewhat out of my price range :(

DRRI can be had used very reasonably and the warranty is transferable.
I'd go with something used. The Ampeg J20 is hand wired, 20 watts and is around 800 bucks. I tried one in NY and it was awesome. I'm seeing too many problems with the Hot Rod series including mine. The new lower priced tube amps are sorta iffy in the quality dept. Just check the forums and you'll see what I mean. Don't just look here. I won't go on another rant.
Try a bunch out. Like I said, I'd rather get a used DRRI or Twin or the Ampeg. They can be had for under a grand. You can also get a 5e3 clone built for way under a grand too.
