anybody have one of these? If so, how good are they. Compare to same 40 watt deluxe or blues deluxe amps.

They're new amps, I haven't seen them in stores yet. I'll let you know though.

I have had the combo version on this amp for about a month now and I really like it. I side by side tested it with several amps in the price range and to me it won hands down. It has not been getting glowing reviews hwew because of the use of op amps in the circuit but if that doesn't bother you and you let your ears do the deciding than you might just like what you here. I needed something small and yet loud enough and was really surprised with the effects; thr verb is digital and sounds very crisp. Thr delay is very useful and so is the chorus in fact I have only a Maxon 808 on thr floor now. I did change out the crappy tubes to JJ's and the stock speaker to an emminence Lil Texas that I already had but the stock was ok. I am happy with the amp. Go try one!

You could do better. I tried it and didn't really care for it. You might like it. Try one out, it might be just what you're looking for. It's just not for me. Real Silverface original Bandmasters can be had for decent prices on the used market. They have no bells or whistles though.

yeah i wasn't to keen on the digital effects. All I wanted was a tube head like my old bassman ,that , unfortunately I sold. Now I use a crate gx1200 and I sure miss that analog sound from tubes. I have pedals that simulate but nothing is like the real deal. I was basically looking at the price for 40 watts and 600 seemed good. I really like the blues deluxe but at 900 plus that's a little hard to reach.

Look at either a used Deluxe Reverb Reissue or an Ampeg J20. Both nice amps. 20 watts is plenty loud for most clubs. Remember, 40 watts is not twice as loud as 20. The Ampeg is hand wired too. It's a really sweet sounding amp.

I just ordered a Band-Master VM which I will plug into a 1-15 cabinet I'm not using. I expect it will be a different sound from my Jazzmaster Ultralight and Blues Jr NOS. I'll let you know how I like it in a few days.

Sounds great guy's. I have a 4-12 cab that I want to use thats why I was thinking of the band master over the HM head not to meantion tube vs digital. Volume level I don't really need a bunch of power. 40 watts just gives some headroom before it starts to distort the sound.
