Hi all,

I just received a new SUperchamp XD. After a little experimenting I found that I get a LOT of static using the reverb effect on either the clean channel #1 or using the superclean voice 16 on channel 2.

The static is not present with any of the other effects.

Has anybody else encountered this problem? Is there a fix???

Nice amp otherwise, but the static is bumming me out.

I have had zero problems with performance after 9 months except for an inoperative 12AX7 (replaced with a JJ, and I think it sounds better anyway) and some buzzing from those 2 back panel boards that are screwed in (put some foam in between the board and amp, all quiet now). Any time I have had a "buzz" like you describe, it was a bad, or poorly connecting, guitar cable. When you get the sound, immediately switch to another cable to see if it goes away.

Since I only get the static / hissing sound with the reverb and not trmolo or other effects seems to indicate that it's not the cable. What do you think?

It's not spring, so there might be a digital problem.

Can you do this test:

Plug in your guitar, put the amp on channel 2, voice 16. Set the volume to 10 and the effects level to 10. Switch between reverb and tremolo and see if there is a difference in the background static or hissing noice. I get the same loud hissing in reverb on channel 1.

Thanks a lot
