I found this on the Yahoo Fender Cyber-Twin Users Group.
Since there were no replies, I thought I'd post it here to see if any of you know of a way to do this. Or where to get the info.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS is NOT about how to do a factory reset. This is asking about RESTORING the ORIGINAL presets, which were different from the custom shop presets. ALSO - This is about the Cyber TWIN SE - not the deluxe, or another cyber amp

If no one else knows, would someone from Fender post?

Mine was the same way and it would be nice to recover those first settings.

I bought a new SE last year. When I got mine the Players was the same as the Custom shop. I haven't changed any settings on mine. Checked right now and they're still the same. Looked on the list that came on top of the amp, and all 100 settings are what they say they are. There was never anything what he called in my amp. I have no idea what this guy's amp is doing or did.

I thought the Players (or is it Custom) will always stay the same and you can change the other one.

Yes, the original Player's Lounge is identical to the Custom Shop, so a factory reset does reset the original Player's Lounge.

If the Player's Lounge has been modified in the SE and then the modified Player's Lounge has somehow evaporated, well then it has evaporated - you cannot get it back from the SE. There is no known "buffer" or backup memory in the SE. If the modified Player's Lounge were backed up into a file on a PC, then one could expect that the file could be loaded back into the SE.

One of the things Cyber Commander does is let you back up your entire Player's Lounge and MIDI Map.

Ciao,
Johnny.

Hi Johnny and mrspyderman,

When I first got my CT SE, it had some "different" presets in the players lounge than was in the custom shop section.

I knew mine was one of those that had been used at the NAMM show that year, so I just assumed someone had made some new presets for the show. So I didn't really think too much about it - until I did my first factory reset. Then, they were gone, and the presets from the custom shop were copied to the players lounge.

I thought at the time "Man! I wish I had known THAT was going to happen. I would have sit down and copied every preset before doing that reset."

Anyway, that was a few years ago and I hadn't thought of that again until I saw ledsep77's post in the yahoo group. That made me think that just MAYBE there was some 'special' presets that came in the players lounge from the factory.

Since these two incidents seem to be the only ones of the kind that I'm aware of, and both of you agree that yours had the custom shop presets in the players lounge when you got them new, - it makes me think that my first impression was correct. i.e. - someone had put in some of their own presets before the amp was sold.

And, mrspyderman - it's the players lounge that allows you to overwrite the settings and to save your own. (that's how those 'other' presets were lost :) )

I want to thank both of you for replying. :)
Thanks Guys!
