I just bought a new Blues Junior last weekend and I noticed that none of the tubes seat all the way down in the tube sockets. Is this a normal thing with the tube sockets they are using?

Not so far as I know. I've got a Pro Junior and the tubes seem to seat fine. Sometimes they are reluctant to go in fully but very gentle rocking with some pressure does the trick. Never have I had a tube that fails to go in. I'm sure someone else here can help you out...

This is typical of the Blues Jr: mine came in a factory carton with one of the power tubes loose and a preamp tube stuck to the speaker magnet. Take care with them in bending the pins straight, and they'll be fine.

Welcome to the world of tube amps. Every time you move it and set it up check to see that the tubes haven't been bumped out of place. More than once I have gotten dead silence out of my Blues Junior only to find that a tube wasn't seated. I'm not sure if this is true for all tube amps. Years ago I had a Princeton and it was the same deal.

I've not had a problem with any other tube amps, and I bought my first one in 1974. There seems to be a problem with the sockets. I have to say that I haven't had any issues since I got mine, but there are a lot of reports online of difficulties with the tubes staying in place.

My bandmate purchased one about a week before I did and his is the same way. It just don't look normal to me. I have a few tube amps and none of them ever had this problem. Have a Hot Rod Deluxe and Pro Jr. and they are not like that.
