I just looked for the METALHEAD Amp stack on your site and it isn't there anymore. Did you stop making it? I HOPE NOT!!! That amp is the ONLY METAL AMP I was considering. I hope you still make it. Why can't I find anything about it on your site or even in these forums??

If it's not on the website, I'd imagine that it was discontinued. Maybe someone from Fender or one of the well-informed amp lovers can help me out here?

After a few minutes of scouring the interweb, I discovered that it is, in fact, discontinued. (http://www.dv247.com/invt/35446/) Sorry, my friend.

I would suggest that you take some time and keep checking Craigslist or Kijiji and maybe even take out an ad for one. You can always find good deals on used amps if you're patient. Good luck!

This totally sucks... i have the head and was waiting for a combo version to come out. i love the MH-500!!! DAMNIT FENDER!!! This was the best amp you had out(im not really a fender guy... guitar or amp wise). True the amp could have been better(adding an graphic EQ or splitting the noise gate from the FX would be a good start).

Really though, how does fender get rid of its ONLY competition against the MESAs, Marshalls, Peaveys, or really any other high gain amps out there.

Fender, i thought you sucked before the MH-500 came out, now that it's gone, i hate you even more. Your amps are lame and your guitars are short, fat, and weak.

This is the worst move Fender could've ever made. The MH-500 was the only competition for Marshall, Mesa, Crate, Peavey, Everyone, when it comes to Heavy Metal. No one has ever thought of Fender amps as "Heavy Metal" amps. The MH-500 could've changed that if it was properly marketed and if Fender made any effort to get Metal guitarist endorsements. I talked to their artist relations people about it but they never showed any interest. Their loss. I'd have gladly endorsed an MH-500. A METALHEAD Combo would've definitely been welcomed by club gigging musicians, but apparently they don't care much about becoming a vendor chosen by hard rock and Metal musicians. It's their loss.

Malmsteen played through an MH-500 stack at his NAMM performance in 2007. The "trickle down effect" of that was my purchase of an FM212R 100 Watt Combo. Sounds great in my room. First time I took it to band rehearsal, I had the volume on 5 and it was overpowered by the bass player's Crate bass amp. I then plugged into the bass player's Crate 120L Guitar Combo Amp that has a speaker out jack and a 2X12 speaker cabinet with Celestian speakers. That guitar amp blew away my Fender 212R Combo. I can't even turn the volume on that Crate guitar amp past 3 without overpowering the entire band. The MH-500 being discontinued is a loss for Fender, but they probably don't see it that way. Too bad for them. I reckon I'll be getting myself a Crate Half Stack then. Better yet, Peavey makes a TUBE HALF STACK that is selling for $399 at Guitar Center. That is only $100 more than What I paid for my Fender 212R Combo.
