They are either assembled by Mexicans in Mexico or by Mexicans in the USA. Other than that nothing...

Bob
I was gonna say the same thing. :D
Some of the guys that have the US made HRDlx think they're better, but they still have the same cheesy construction. I opened up mine and my nephew's who has a 95 and compared them. It costs less to make them now. I would like to see a comparison of hourly wages between the US and Mexico workers. That would be interesting.

You are not going to find a current USA made HotRod amp, since they are only made in Mexico now.

You would need to search all the used equipment places to find an old USA made HotRod amp form the 90's (I think that is when some of them were USA made).

And the construction is done with the same internal parts.

Many of the early one's may be in landfills, sitting in closets or converted to something cool like a 5e3. They're not the best amp for gigging. Mine will be converted when the warranty runs out. That's the only reason I still have mine. I know a musician who used the HRDlx circuit and built a HRDlx using high quality American made components, hand wired tube sockets keeping only the trannies. Awesome sounding amp. Sounds way better and is solid as a rock. The besy sounding HRDlx I've ever heard.
