It actually doesn't matter where they were assembled.
Are they robot assembly line made of hand wired?
If they are made on a robotic assembly line who cares what country it is sitting in.

In all cases the internal components, caps/resistors/solid-state components are most probably sourced form China or one of the other AP countries.

And the GrooveTube's used in them are just rebranded Russian made SovTec's.

Where it was assembled is stamped on the back plate of every amp.

Maybe fender should post a "Made in the U.S.A." logo of some sort on the products that actually are American made. It would certainly clear things up for everyone wondering.

I mean on the web site so you know without having to go to a shop to find out.

I agree with peterp. Unless it is a custom shop it is going to be PCB construction, so what difference does it make?

It doesn't matter to me as long as it is a quality product but I can tell you from my days in retail that it matters to a lot of people and some of them are fanatical about it. I even had a customer hand me a card with a web address to an anti NAFTA site.

Mine says Made in U.S.A. front and back. Other than that I haven't been able to find out much about the amp.

My Pro Junior has a "Made in America" sticker on the inside, right beside the tube layout diagram. It's a few years old though; maybe Fender just thought that no one cared? It does seem that most people are much concerned with the origins of their guitar as opposed to their amp. That said, I'm sure most carry a decal or sticker somewhere. Perhaps inside the chassis?

Actually, Groove Tubes is making their own 6L6 tube called the "6L6GE" although Fender is probably not putting them in the their amps. (90% American parts). I have seen Chinese Groove Tubes also. (A "C" at the end of the tube type).

HotRod series are all MiM, not sure where the other current amps are assembled.

Not all Hot Rod Series amps are MIM. The earlier HRDlx (at least) amps were MIA. I can't remember when they started making them in Mexico. I believe the Devilles started out being made in USA as well.

I just purchased a Corona. CA made Hot Rod Deville with 4 G10L-35 Celestion speakers. I was looking at one in GC that was MIM. I have a MIM Blues Junior, but have seen early models that were US made. So research is probably the only way to find out. It would be nice if Fender listed this on the website.
