My guitar cable got partially stuck in the input jack (the outside part of the plug broke off) and I was told to try opening up the amp to fix it. I took out every screw in the amp and can't open it up.. what do I do??

Can you get some needle-nose pliers onto any part of the plug?

I recently broke the plug off my headphones in my amp and managed to get the remains out with some thin pliers.

To open up these amps remover the back cover. Now, look inside just above the speaker. You will see 2 screws going into the board that the speaker is mounted to up towards the top where the chassis meets the board. Remove these 2 screws. Now look on the outside of the amp. There are 2 screws on the sides. One on each side. Remover these and from the inside push the speaker board out the front of the amp. Unplug the 2 wires making sure to return them to the EXACT same location when reassembling the amp. Next, remove the 2 screws that hold the handle in place and place your hand under the chassis as it will drop when the handle is removed. The jack is actually incased in plastic and there really is no access to push the broken plug piece out. Be careful removing the broken part as this jack is soldered to the board and can easily break the PC boards circuit from the jack. I had 30 of these amps that needed repairs. I have repaired about 10 of them and 9 out of 10 needed a jumper installed to repair this part of the circuit. If you need to remove the PC board from the chassis let me know. I can also explain the proceedure if needed.

I've tried the same thing. I would take it to a guitar shop and have someone experienced look at it. Good luck!
