Hi to all. I have been playing guitar for a few months only so I have limited knowledge etc.
The help I need is regarding the following;
I have a stage 100 head and I have been given a Korg toneworks AX3000G multi effects. I need to know if I have to plug my guitar into the effect unit and plug that into the amp via the main input 1, or can I use this unit into the fx loop.
If it can go into the fx loop can you explane what cables go to where.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

You can do it either way. Most of the time, the fx loop is the best route, if you want a simple easy way: Guitar>cable>pedal>cable>amp in.

For multi-effect units the loop is usually the best route. But it does depend on how you're going to use the effect unit.
If you want to use it for your complete tonal package, all your distortion, mods, delays, etc., and use the amp simply to, well, amplify the sound, you can use it either straight in or through the effects loop. If going into the effects loop, you send the amp effects loop out to the units input, then the units output to the amps effects loop in.
As an example - when using my Hot Rod Deluxe I actually do both. I run my guitar into my Modtone Dyna Drive, then into the guitar input. I run My Boss ME-50 in the loop since I am using that strictly for Mod and Delay, no Overdrive or distortion. This gives me the ability to shape my OD/Distortion with the amp and the Dyna Drive in any combination I want, and kick on the ME-50 only when I need it. It works very well for me.
