OK, I've been obsessed with looking for a tube amp for months now. I've been fixated on the Blues Deluxe/Deville and I thought that's what I want, but I'm very concerned about ... a) reliability; and b) usability (the whole audio vs linear pot thing).

So today I came across the Fender Twin-Amp.
http://fender.com/products/search.php?partno=0215700000

What's not to like? It's 2x12, two channels, switchable 25W to 100W, seems versatile. I have yet to try one in person (and I will) but the youtube vids I have found so far I like.

Does anyone have one? Any comments on this amp good or bad?

It's a good amp,
when you go to test drive it, also give a Twin Reverb a try :)

I came VERY close to picking up a slightly used one just last month. I liked the sound of it, quite versatile. I'm not positive, but it seems to be alot like a Twin Reverb with a power boost and gain stage. But for all I know it's probably a totally different circuit and everything!
The only thing I didn't like was how HEAVY the beast was.

Yes it seems heavy and looks like it can get quite a bit dirty where the Twin Reverb can not, which to me is the benefit over the Twin Reverb.

80lbs in weight - that's a lot of commitment if you're gigging around or carting it off to rehearsals regularly. Have you tried lifting it?!

80 lbs huh?
The Egnater Tourmaster combo tips the scales at 95 lbs!
Maybe I better look at the Rebel 20 or Rebel 30 instead...don't need another hernia!

Very nice amp. Very loud, Very heavy but well worth it. You IMO you can't find a cleaner sounding amp .
