Hi.

I just got a new Hot Rod deluxe amp. At the end of the practice with my bend it started to produce feedback, especialy obvious with more drive button in (with drive on 5 and master on 5) or even at normal drive. I did worm him up before practice and I started at low volumes for 1 h and even when I turned it up it didnt produce any feedback at the beginning, only later the feedback started. It doesnt matter if I turn volume on guitar to 0 and even if I unplugg the guitar and it is still there.
I did some switching on clean/drive channel. And then after few minutes it just disappeared???
Today the same thing all over again, first feedback, then none.

And one more thing - when on more drive, with master knob over 5 it hums quite loud , is that normal?

Since it was ordered from UK I have some troubles to get it back to the merchant. I will if there is no other option of course.

Any help would be most welcome.

It sounds like one of your tubes is microphonic. While it's feeding back, take a pencil with en eraser and gently tap each tube. If it stops on a certain tube, that's the bad one.

If it's brand new, I'd take it back if you can. Tubes are under warranty for something like 90 days.

Just replace the tube. They're cheap enough. Glad that's all it was.
