Hi everyone,
I'm an avid Strat fan, I bought my American strat about 5 years ago, and it's my go to guitar...I use it for everything. I had been playing for the last few years through a Peavey Classic 30 that I put Groove Tubes in about a year ago. I'm playing with a praise band now, and for that setting the 30 was just too loud. Once I got the volume past 1.5 the sound guy was complaining.

Saturday I solved all my problems, I bought a Fender Blues jr. The ability to crank the volume and get great sustain and dynamics, but master it back to 3 and get a comfortable volume for the venue, which I'm ecstatic about. As much of a Peavey fan as I am...the Fender clean tone blows the Peavey out of the water...but I think the biggest difference is the amazing Fender reverb...it's outstanding!

I know this isn't really a "discussion" so to speak, but I knew this would be the place for me to come gush about this amplifier.

Congrats on your new Blurs Jr. It is a fabulous little amp. There are many discussions here on the Forum about the Blues Jr. so if you want to read up on what's been talked about you can do a search. You will also find pics of mt Blues Jr. among the posts.

Hi jclements2, congrats on your new toy. I love my Blues Junior, it's the standard Tolex BJ with no mods. Don't miss this thread. See ya around.
Claude.
