Just looking for channel, eq, and reverb settings. I am mainly looking for a texas blues sound. Can it be done with this amp?

The pick ups have a lot to do with it, SRV used Texas Specials.

Actually he didn't. The Texas Specials were something worked on by Fender after his death. Had he lived long enough for his signature guitar to come out than maybe he would have used them, we'll never know.
I think he used the stock pickups that came with his guitar (which was either a '59 or a '63), but there are so many internet rumors out there I can't sort out fact from fiction.

I have Texas Specials in my Squier, and it did make a huge difference. Very SRV-like tone, and I use that guitar for everything now.

If SRV didn`t use T/S pups, then why would Fender design a guitar after him using them ? I was under the impression he used them and that added to the sound he got aside from his ability to play. I have them in my MIM Strat and I use that guitar most of the time too.

I believe just before his death he collaborated with Fender on the SRV.Thats how they came up with the 12 inch radius fretboard and the Texas Specials. His number 1 strat had stock pickups in them.He got that sound using big strings with his amps dimed and the rest was his fingers. A few years back Fender wanted to design the Tribute guitar. His brother Jimmy let Fender come in and disect it.They inspected everything ,even measured resistance on his pickups.

Exactly. The pups were made after his death.

Interesting, thanks for that bit of information.

Anytime, its an urban legend that he used texas specials or that his pickups were overwound by mistake at the factory.I do believe howeve that the Texas Specials can give you a similar vibe as his without using 13s and diming your amp,but thats just my opinion.Mostly i just love the way they sound and my tone in no way replicates SRV.

SRV's strat had '59 pickups. They were some of the accidentally hot wound ones. Due to manufacturing issues, sometimes a pickup would receive too many winds on the machine, sometimes as many as two times normal. Stevie had these. T/S were made (sorta) using his as a model. The original guitar is missing, so they are an approximation.

Way back the pickups actually had people winding them not computers so there were some slight variations in how many windings. From everything I've read about the pups, they were a little "hotter". I believe that's where the whole idea of the Texas Specials came from the resistance measurements of his original pups.

Which of SRV's guitars?
He had and used several, this site lists some of the 34 guitars his estate had when he passed away. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SRV_guitars

But you are getting hung up on just the guitar and pups.
He also used very heavy strings, multiple amps (From Dumbel / Marshal / Fender)
sometimes mixed together and at highish volume levels.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SRV_amps

A few effects pedals
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stevie_Ray ... _equipment

And

Mostly his fingers and playing style affected the sound he produced.

I'm pretty sure we're all talking about #1, the beat up sunburst one.

I missed the last point I wanted to say.

Can a HDRlx play the blues, probably yes.
Can it sound just like SRV probably not :D

Sorry this one just started to make my brain freeze up.

If SRV popped in magically and played using a HDRlx, would it sound like SRV ?

Yep. No matter what he played he still sounded like SRV. I works for me too. Everything I play whether it's single coils, humbuckers or if I use my Twin, Champ or even my Pignose battery powered amp, To people who know me, they can tell it's me. It's in the technique and fingers.
