Neither the Super Champ XD or Vibro Champ XD have any input but the one for a guitar.

You are out of luck there.

I just got home with the Super champ XD. This is a cool little amp. I think it will be the perfect practice amp.

The vibrochamp doesnt have that feature or a headphone output. There is a line out for direct to mixingdesk recording.
I certainly wouldnt let the absence of those features affect my decision. Its a great amp. I prefer mine to my blues jr.

No. You'll be hard pressed to find an option like that in a tube amp. If I were you, I'd seriously look at a GDec, It's not tubes, but has tons of options and you can plug in an IPOD, CD player etc. and it sounds decent. I have the 15, but may trade up to a 30 for even more options. I you can find a tube amp with 2 separate channels and EQ like the Deluxe Reverb, you could play it through the second input on the second channel, but that's an expensive option.
Either get a GDec, or a small stereo to jam with. I'm afraid you're looking for something that don't exist in tube land.

Is the CD player input really necessary? I just play along with my CD player. It's just a small, cheap CD player, but it works very well. I use it with my Deluxe Reverb all the time.

i'd recommend the fender pro junior... it's a full tube amp with clean buttery tone. as opposed to the super champ xd, whch has tubes, but runs the sound through a built-in electronic effects box first..

Realise I cant get everything I want in an amp....
If u ask me necessary or not....
Juz imagine u r alone, u r not a good player, u've got stage fright,
But u wanna jam with Deep Purple, ;)
What will u do? ? ?

When I use to have my Hot Rod Deville 410, sometimes
i will juz turn on Scorpions, Rainbow, Iron Maiden live dvd's
and strum my guitar wif them,,, and sometimes if i wanna join
them, I juz plug their cd's . close my eyes, and let it roll...

Damn I miss them alot.....
