Hi, can any good soul here recommend me a good
small watts tube electric gutar amp ranging from 5 to 10 watts max?

If possible I need a clean tone direct from the amp for my
plucking session, where as for
metal stuff I can juz add a pedal?

Thnx Mate

At Fender, you are looking for the Fender Champ 600.

It is ok to mention other brand as long as there's no brand bashing. Champ 600 is the one that came to mind, matches your needs and it is a very good amp but you're right, there are other brands.

A few amps with kinda similar specs come to mind from other brands:

Crate V5
Kustom Tube 12A (12W)
Epiphone Valve Junior
Gretsch Electromatic G5222

The Vibro Champ might do the trick for you. They're about $250.00 and a lot more versatile than a Champion 600.

It's a bit more than 10 watts, but check out the SCXD :

It's loaded with some terrific features and within your specified price range.

I just bought a Champ 600 today.
After an hour of play, I really like it and it's perfect for what I need. I live in an apartment in New York City with my family. Five watts is all I need (and all I can get away with) at home.

It only has a volume knob and a choice of 2 imputs (one is louder and crunchier).

If you can get away with more watts at home, you may want a bigger amp. I also have a '74 ish Twin and a DeVille so this was a nice addition.

Also, there was a sale at Sam Ash so I got it for $150 (new).
I originally got one as a Christmas present. New just out of the box ... it was broken!
Turned out that ended up saving me $50.

Todd

It is 15 watts but you might want to look at a pro junior. Very clean.

Just a volume and tone knob. add pedals to your hearts desire.

Those who owns Vibro Champ or knows this amp well maybe can help
wif my question below>

Does this amp has an input, whereby I can plug in my portable cd player
So i can jammed along together ( songs from cd, and my guitar sound
both will comes out from the Vibro Champ speaker)

I knew Fender Hot Rod Deville can do it?
How bout Vibro Champ?

Cheers
