4 year old Cyber Twin just started to distort after 20 minutes of playing. Does this mean time to change tubes?

What do you mean by distort? For more insights about what I've been going through with tube rattle, check the thread called cybertwin tube rattle. Maybe something in there can help you too.

Well, it depends. Does the distortion disappear if you use the Dyna Touch setting? If the distortion disappears when you select Dyna Touch, there's good chance it's tube related (Dyna touch setting does not use tubes), the fix is easy, just change the tubes. If distortion does not disappear, you probably have a circuit problem, typically a transistor (output stage) or leaky capacitor, in any case it will require a technician to fix it unless you are pretty good at electronics.

good luck,
johnny.
