Update-

Thanks to some great members here, my problem has been solved. It was indeed a nasty rattling tube. I picked up a replacement tube kit for the cybertwin from Eurotubes.com, as well as two tube dampers from Herbies audio lab- a site linked from eurotube. I first tried the tube dampers, which are the best in this category, imo, on the original tubes. But, it did not help my rattling tube completely. Somewhat, but not enough. So, I yanked the tubes and installed Jay's tubes.

I gave a call over and talked to Jay while doing it because the tubes were being really stubborn to get out. I mean, I yanked and nothing. Having never changed out tubes, I thought maybe there was something holding them in that I wasn't aware of, but in talking to Jay, a couple of circular motions while pulling and out they came. He reminded me to make sure I used electronics cleaner and clean the sockets well. I said I would. But of course, I couldn't come up with my spray cleaner so I just installed them anyway, as per Jays great directions on his site- I did a bit of in and out to get good contact minus the cleaner. I put the amp back together, which anyone familiar knows it's a total drag with the cybertwin, and wouldn't you know it sounded grungy and click/poppy. Not really bad, but not accetable. I decided to run to Home Depot and get the darn cleaner and start again. Good grief! But after doing so, the result was clean as a whistle. For all the nay sayers about needing to clean the soocket when replacing tubes, I'm here to tell you- it's a good idea! I also put the dampers on the tubes too. What the hell, I bought them. They make a great tonal difference to me, one in which I like very much. Low end is focused, high end is smooth. This was the case without them too because after all, I pulled out the original Fender Groove Tubes and put in Jay's, which are far superior to my ears, but also different- warmer. But with the dampers included, it made it even better.

So I put it all back together, cleaned my guitar pots and jacks including the amps guitar jack, and I'm back in business. This was a special amp for me when I purchased it. It does well on gigs, and twice as good recording. But, in the furture I will NOT buy combo amps. It's truly too much for the tubes to take and I full well expect to go through this again down the road. But I can recommend eurotubes and Herbie tube dampers for sure. Great places, and eurotubes is great with customer service. Not to mention this forum, without which I'd still be rattling away! Thank you very much to all concerned!
