I think the speaker swap is the easiest solution.To my knowledge the speaker is the only real difference other than cosmetics.Good luck.

I don't know if this has been addressed yet or not, but the bzzz, bzzz, bzzz sound from the cell phone is compliments of the engineers who invented GSM, the network technology used by At&t, T-mobile and most international cell networks. One of the most annoying artifacts of cell phones ever, as it interferes with any audio equipment within a few feet. Unfortunately about the only thing you can do is to put the phone in airline mode, or turn it off.

I believe that's called "polling" and is the result of the cell checking periodically for its wireless connection. In my last band, we were all careful to leave our cell phones in our cars or to turn them off because the sound system amplified it so loudly.
