My Blues JR NOS had a couple of loose tubes, and one "missing" tube, which turned out to be magnetically stuck to the speaker. I had to straighten the pins with needlenose pliers to fit the tube back in the socket, but it's been going strong since (+4 months).

Static from cell phones is not constant: cell phones randomly "poll" to verify the connection with satellite/tower but it sounds like "bzzzt-bzzzzt-bzzzzt" through any nearby amplified speaker and does not last more than a few seconds. When our band played honkytonks, we all had to turn off our cell phones so the polling wasn't amplified through our 2000+ watt PA.

My salesman said his cell phone comes through his amp when he`s playing gigs too. Not that I`m happy your does, but I`m glad to hear he wasn`t giving me a line just to get rid of me. So far the amp has been much better than it was the day it had excessive static. Maybe it was just interference with something the amp was near that day. I`ll just see how it goes and hopefully its nothing to worry about.

Let's hope so: the B Jr is a fine little amp, and it's the one I plug my ES-335 into every time I play it. It occurs to me that we're interfacing '40s technology with 21st Century! Hopefully this will be the worst of the artifacts.

Other than the color, the only difference is the speaker. The tolex uses an emimence speaker and the tweed version uses a jensen.

Mine is called a "Hot Rod Blues Junior NOS" (it has a "limited edition" plate ont the back) and has the lacquered tweed and Jensen speaker. I quite like mine. I have substituted a Ruby Reverb for the original pan and installed a Weber Beam Blocker. I plug my Gibson ES-335 Dot into it and it sings. It doesn't have the chime it would with a guitar equipped with single coiil pickups, but I'm a humbucker guy, and that's not exactly the sound I'm looking for. It does have the characteristic Fender tone with an upper-mid emphasis that really makes the 335 sound good. It's very similar to a friend's Super Reverb, and a bit brighter than a '65 Deluxe Rever ri I tried out.

It's impossible to describe tone in words, but my BJ reaches out and takes charge when I'm playing with others, and that makes me feel good.

Any 1 here knows where can I get this Tweed in 220volt, it can be new or used, to be shipped to Singapore?

I believe the Blues Junior NOS is available in 120V only. Same for the BJ Texas Red. The basic BJ model is supposedly sold in Europe (and maybe Australia?) as a 240V Model. It looks like you have 2 choices:
1. Get an American NOS model and change out the transformer.
2. Get a 240V basic BJ model and change out the speaker to the Jensen C12N that's in the NOS version.

Here's a discussion about your issue on the Gear Page:
http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showth ... p?t=473214

I hope this helps. The Bjr NOS is a great amp!! Good luck.
:)
