Hello,

I want to buy a Tube amp, but I don't now wich one I should chose....
In the musicshop they say that a Fender Hot rod Deluxe bluesman is a very good amp.
I play blues and rock.
( I use a fender stratocaster '50s)

I have a Blues Jr. and swear by it, you won`t be disappointed. Try one at your local music store and see what you think.

Unless you get one of those old Champ, like Champ 12 or Vibro Champ, stay with Blues Junior.

Ok, thanks. I will try him at the music store. He's also €300 cheaper than the deluxe ...

Well, hot rod deluxe is 40w, blue junior is only 15w. Most like the sound of BJ better but if you have a chance, try them both at the store.

At other forums they say that pedals don't sound good with the blues junior...
and that the bass tones aren't good adjustable...

What pedals are you talking about? A good modded tubescreamer should sound pretty good.

I would say the best thing then is to try that pedal on that amp at the store. Do you own that pedal? Are you looking for distortion or overdrive?

Yes I have that pedal. I'm not looking for anything actually.. But I think I'll buy the Blues Junior because it probably sounds better at low volumes than the deluxe
