I have a Vox valvetronix modeling amp and I really like the "fender 2x12"
model. I was interested in trying the real thing ( fender twin) but the epiphone caught my eye also. I'm wondering if anyone has tried both amps,
Fender and Epiphone, and what are your feelings about both.

I can't tell you how to spend your money but slave labor practices in China are enough to keep me away from the Epiphone.

Fender's using Chinese labor too. My Chinese made Gdec is on its way
back.

This is true, and it's a shame. However, as far as the two amps here in question are concerned it's the Epiphone that's made in China. The Twin is not.

I can vouch for the TR because I have one. The epiphone? They won't compare at all.

The TR is an 85 watt all tube amp with Reverb and vibrato. Very clean tone.

The epiphone is about 30 watts. It has reverb but no vibrato...
check it out live!

DEFINETLY Fender, they're made in Mexico, but besides that sound better. I just got a Deville 410 and I would HIGHLY reccomend trying it first. :D

I have a 76 Twin. It's a great amp, clean loud and seriously reliable.I've had my twin since it was new. I tried the Epi and almost traded my HRDlx in on it. The Epi is great sounding amp and more versatile than my Twin because of the power reduction setting. Way better sounding than my HRDlx, probably because of the 2 12's. But it's way different. The only thing that stopped me was the weight. I didn't need two heavy amps.
