Back in the 60's I had a Fender Pro Reverb amp... don't remember much about it other than it sounded great and had the silver tilt-back legs on the sides. As I recall I sold it to buy used scuba gear. What a mistake that was. I have the impression Fender no longer makes the Pro Reverb... or if they do... it's called something else now. Could someone please tell me what is the present day equivalent of the Pro Reverb?

Many thanks

I have the 1992 reissue of the Pro Reverb. It is a 50 watt amp with a 1 - 12" Jenson C12N speaker. Is is 13" deep and has the clean channel and a gain channel. Each has a bass, mid, and treble. The next section of the blackface frontplate had Reverb, speed, depth, presence.

It seems to be a good amp. I just purchased it used since they discontinued production of this line again. It has 2 - 6L6GCs, 1 12AT7, and 7 12AX7 tubes. Overall fairly good tone and musical.

My other amp now is the Line 6 Spider Valve 212 (Bogner) all tube with 2 Celestion V30 speaker. It also makes a nice external speaker cab for the Pro Reverb. Also, the FBV shortboard I have makes a nice combo.

Hi Greg...

Hey thanks for the info on the Pro Reverb. Used that model Fender in my college days... I was totally clueless about all the subtleties of equipment back then... all i new was plug in... turn up... and play.

As I said wish hadn't sold it... I'll keep my eyes peeled for a used on in the guitar shops... don't know that I'd have a reason to buy... but would be fun to plug into one once again and hear that sound from days gone by.

Thanks again!!!
