Hi. I have a Rumble 100, it has a button for passive/active basses. The bass I use is active and would I damage the amp if I use it with the button on "passive" :?:

I play guitar, not bass but I think I can answer. When I plug into a high input with my active guitar, it tends to distort the signal much sooner. It was not a problem on my pre-amps as they are midi controllable and you can adjust volumes for various patches to make them match. However, on a two channel combo amp, you may have trouble cleaning up the signal and matching the volume of the dirty channel. The clean will be too quite and when you try to match the volume of the dirty channel, you may get unwanted distortion .

Other than that I don't think you will hurt the amp, as I have been playing with active pickups for years with no problems
