I have the Hot Rod Deluxe Python Edition ... the top plate gets pretty hot to the touch and my power light no longer works.

Does anyone else have this problem or any experience with this before? The amp is great other than that.

Thanks!

Top plate does get warm to the touch , it is heat from the tubes.

Not sure about the bulb, I think it is users replicable if it burned out.

Yep ... it was a simple #47 lamp burn out. I bought a two pack at Radio Shack - must have been just a bum light I guess - lol.

Hi everybody,
I have an hot road deluxe for 4 year now (and I really happy with it - Great sound :) ).
I confirm that the plate gets warm because of the tubes, but I've never had any problem with the lamp.

I've had one of these puppies for a few years and never had a problem with the lamp burning out.
What a great sound!
